Answer - Question 17

The acronym EPCOT does stand for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Walt's original idea was not for EPCOT to be a theme park but rather a living city where new technology was showcased in every way possible. When Walt passed away the imagineers decided that they didn't want to be in the business of running a city but rather be in the entertainment business. EPCOT was then designed in its current format with the front half still showcasing new technology and the back half of the park illustrating various world cultures.

New Countdown

Disney Phone Call

My Disney Offer Call went really well today. I learned a few new things in regards to what I need to do and when before I leave.

I've now started a countdown to when I start and when I leave. I still need to have a look at what day I'll be using as my official end date for my current jobs.

All in all, my excitement is mounting and it is really starting to sink in that I actually got it. It still feels so much like a dream.

Disney Offer Call Tomorrow!

So I am very excited. Tomorrow morning will be my Disney Offer Call with Yummy Jobs. This is the skype phone call explaining everything I need to know to prepare for the program. It's been kinda weird over the past couple of weeks. I've kinda felt like I knew I got into the program but it hadn't really sunk in yet. Tonight it just feels so exciting and "real" for the first time. So all in all I am very excited with only 187 days until my start date!

Updates...

So after a long time of no posts...(Sorry). I am pleased to announce that I got in!!! I found out on the 11th of November which was the day after my interview! I have been soooo excited about this I can barely contain myself. I don't start until June 5th so that gives me loads of time to prepare and save up for this. Yesterday I went to Windsor and got my passport renewed.

Everyday I have been looking up new information on the program. I don't actually know that much official information but I should be getting a cal from Kristen at Yummy Jobs in the next week or two to go over all the details of things and what I need to do to prepare. So as I know more I will post. I promise to make this a more dedicated blog now that I am counting the days to a whole year of Disney!

The Muppets

"What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing? And what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me."

So I saw "The Muppets" in the theatre on openning day today! I have to say it was NOT a disappointment. I thought it had the perfect blend of silly comedy that you would expect in any muppets production but it still had a lot of great classic kind of scenes and moments as well. It has a number of old muppet songs and still has some great new catchy songs. All in all I thought it was an amazing movie!

Mah Na Mah Na...

To....Montreal then.

I found out today that the interviews are going to be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Montreal on the 9th and 10th of November. I will be having my interview on the 10th. I am starting to get very excited and nervous about this. Only about a month and a half until the interviews.

Face-To-Face Interviews are next!

I am really excited to have been invited again to the face-to-face interviews. This year they are going to be held in Montreal! So even for the interview I get to go somewhere I have never been before. I don't know too much yet but I will post more whn I find out.

I'm getting a phone Interview!

So I was very excited to receive an email from Hannah at Yummy Jobs letting me know I got into the next phase of the application process which is a phone interview. I know last year I didn't find this step to be too hard. My only concern is that since I've done this before I might be a little too confident. So Hopefully I get through this step with no problems.

Submitted My Disney CRP Application

After having tried and failed last year at getting into the Disney World CRP Program, I decided I would try my luck again this year. Hopefully things will work out and I will get in this time. Wish me luck!
